The album Tales Of Love is my first CD release in over 30 years. It is dedicated to my girlfriend, who passed away unexpectedly at the end of May 2024 as a result of severe trauma.
While she spent time in France in April and May 2024, I began thinking about what I could give her for her birthday in early June. Our shared passion for music was the spark that led me back to the guitar at the beginning of 2024, after decades of not playing, singing, or writing songs.
And so it happened that I sat down and wrote her a song — something easy and simple, inspired by the track Deborah by T. Rex: My Tangerine.
But shortly after, a second song followed, then a third... The songs and lyrics literally flowed through me, like magic. By the end of May, I had written eight songs. I was incredibly excited to share them with her. But sadly, that moment never came. When I learned of her death, it pulled the ground out from under my feet. I didn't know if I would ever pick up the guitar again. But the songs were there — I couldn't just leave them behind. So I wrote three more and decided to record the album — at home — and release it...
Tales Of Love is not a sterile, high-gloss production. The emotional tsunami and my recent return to music made the process a challenge. But what truly makes music music — the feeling — has been captured. Tales Of Love is raw and real. It is an ode to love and brings the listener in touch with their own heart.
The album consists of 11 songs, presented in the order they were written, between April 19 and September 6, 2024. The CD includes a 16-page booklet with all the lyrics. Keyboards and mastering by music producer Paul Mex, London, UK who worked among plenty others with Geoge Michael/Wham!.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charities and women's shelters that support victims of abuse.

Boris spent over 20 years in the music business before his career as a coach – as a musician, sound engineer, and producer, primarily in England and France.
During this time, he crossed ways with numerous artists, including Jef Harvey (King Kurt), Billy Idol & Steve Stevens, Bill Carter (Screaming Blue Messiahs), Nina Hagen, Charlie Harper (UK Subs), Martin Degville (Sigue Sigue Sputnik), Daniel Ash (Bauhaus), Meat Loaf, and Bob Kulick.
Boris founded and played in various bands, such as the Gothic rock trio VEDA, Andi Sexgang, TyLor (Sonja Kristina Linwood’s backing band, Curved Air), Ugly As Sin, and Huckleberry Finn. As a sound engineer, producer, and studio manager, he worked in various recording studios, including the world-renowned Studio Miraval (Château Miraval, which later became the residence of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt for several years, and was reopened as a recording studio by Brad Pitt in 2022).
Boris was involved in a wide range of productions and worked with Mick Ronson (David Bowie), Cheb Mami, Silmarils, Eric Fernandez (Gipsy Kings), the Kelly Family, Billy Cobham, Jimmy Barnes, Fonky Family, Kill The Thrill, Blankass, Joe Hardy (ZZ Top, Steve Earle), "Spike" Drake (Pet Shop Boys, The Cure, Babylon Zoo), Richard Rainey (U2), Graeme Stewart (Radiohead), Mario 'Not Rude' Rodriguez (LL Cool J, Public Enemy), Clive Martin (Sting, Queen), Paul Mex (Boris Pikula, George Michael, Toyah, The Troggs, Ugly As Sin, Huckleberry Finn), and many others.
In 1999, he left the music business...
On November 21, 2024, I stood on stage for the first time in nearly 30 years, performing in front of a wonderful audience at Happy End Munich, supported by the artist collective Broke Today – for the very first time on my own.
In Boris' songs, various musical styles blend together, shaped by his classical training, 3-chord punk rock, as well as ballads and country. His musical influences include Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Nick Cave, Leonrad Cohen, Hank Williams, Marc Bolan and Johnny Cash.
Boris' songs are about love, grief, letting go, pain, trauma, life, and infinity... beyond the veil...
